John Lanius is SVP and General Counsel at Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. He is responsible for setting the company’s legal strategy and directing a wide range of legal- and compliance-related activities. John manages litigation and dispute resolution, compliance (including policies and related training), business strategies, commercial transactions, purchasing, intellectual property protection, and import/export activities.

Before he joined Fujitsu in 2000, John worked for almost five years with the Dallas-based law firm of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, PC, in both its litigation and corporate sections. He originally began practicing law in Dallas as an attorney in the general litigation division of Strasburger & Price, LLP, in 1994.

John is admitted to practice in the state of Texas as well as in the federal courts in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Association of Corporate Counsel of America, and the Dallas Bar Association. John has worked in leadership roles in a number of local community organizations including the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and TechTitans.

John received his Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. in 1994.
